We have particular experience in dealing with cases which involve:

  • Applications to remove trustees and personal representatives
  • Breach of trust
  • Construction of wills
  • Deeds of variation
  • Allegations of lack of testamentary capacity, undue influence and want of knowledge and approval
  • Rectification
  • Claims relating to beneficial interests and proprietary estoppel
  • Claims on behalf of and against estates
  • Claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975
  • Domicile

We recognise that many of these cases involve more than money, and we understand that where there are family disputes they need to be handled with sensitivity and empathy, but also with tenacity and imagination. Wherever possible, we seek to settle such cases to our client’s advantage but without going to court, possibly by mediation, and so we hope to be brought into cases very early on so as to discuss and advise on strategy and tactics before litigation has commenced.
