Uniquely operating as one set across four centres means Enterprise is the only national set of Chambers specialising in commercial, chancery, property and insolvency law, with leading experts in London, Leeds, Bristol and Newcastle who are consistently recognised for their expertise.
Known for its friendly and supportive working environment Enterprise is seeking barristers to continue its long tradition of high-quality advocacy before all levels of court and supported by clerks who are “very helpful and personable clerks who are always willing to go the extra mile” (Chambers & Partners) who work as one integrated team wherever they are based.
Recently refurbished conference and clerking facilities in London have the latest video conferencing equipment to recognise the changing working environment in which the Bar will now operate. Hot desks and facilities for remote hearings are planned at all centres.
The concept of one set of Chambers across four locations is unusual but works well. There is no question the out of London centres being annexes, they are part of one organisation.
Practically this means members can use the facilities in another centre, a huge benefit when appearing in a court away from your base, whether that’s the Rolls Buildings or the High Court in Leeds. Members are fully clerked and have all necessary resources at hand wherever they are.
We recognise that the pandemic and the increased use of remote hearings has changed the way we work and probably will work, so are happy to discuss flexible and innovative ways of working.
We appreciate that moving chambers is a big step, if you would like to talk on a confidential basis to James Pickering KC (Head of Chambers) or Christopher Brockman (Recruitment Committee) please call or email.
Enterprise welcomes applications from people of all backgrounds regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or physical ability and we encourage applications from candidates from backgrounds that are underrepresented at the bar.
